Rite of Christian Initiation
Rite of Christian Initiation of Aduilt (R.C.I.A.): RCIA is a gradual four-step process designed to welcome new members into the Catholic Church and to invite all parishioners into ongoing conversion. Today's Rite of Christian Initiation recovers the early church's emphasis on conversion of heart leading to a dramatic single celebration of baptism, confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. At the same time, the Christian initiation process respects the experiences of baptism and formation that may have already taken place in those called to continue their faith journey in the Catholic Church. A team of parishioners will accompany inquirers through this process.
If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about our RCIA program, there are two information sessions that everyone is invited to attend. These sessions will provide an opportunity to learn more about the program, to meet myself and Fr. Krzysztof, and to help answer any questions you may have about your own individual situation.
These sessions are:
• Sunday, August 30th from 9:00-10:30 am
• Wednesday, September 2nd from 7:00-8:00 pm
You only need to attend one of these sessions and there are no commitments at this time - it is strictly an information seeking session. Masks will be required and social distancing honored at these meetings. If you are unable to attend either session but would like more information, please contact the parish office at 419-332-7339 to schedule a time that works best for you.
