ACTS Retreat
This parish-based retreat offers the opportunity to renew your spirituality, to strengthen your faith, and it's application in your daily life, and to build lasting friendships. Each retreat begins on Thursday evening. Retreatants stay the weekend at Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center and return to Sacred Heart on Sunday for the 11:00 a.m. Mass. This retreat transforms parishioners as they are led to live their faith more intentionally on a personal and community level.
MEN'S RETREAT:
2024 Date: November 7th to 10th, 2023

2025 Date: July 31st to August 3rd, 2025
WHAT IS ACTS?
ACTS is more than a simple retreat “program” - it's designed to implement the New Evangelization in a way that transforms parishes into intentional disciples. Through a weekend retreat and through small faith communities, parishioners are led to live their faith more intentionally on a personal and community level.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does the retreat last?
The retreat begins on Thursday evening at Sacred Heart Church with arrival beginning at 6pm. The retreat comes to a close on Sunday with the return Mass at 11am with a luncheon to follow.
When and where are the retreat held?
We are very blessed to have Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center right here in Fremont. Both the women’s and men’s retreats are held at this location. Rooms for retreatants are private.
Is there a cost?
The cost of the retreat is $165.00. Anyone needing financial assistance can apply for a scholarship to help cover the cost.
(The full total cost of a weekend is just over $300, if you're able to contribute more to the total cost of $165 requested, your gift is greatly appreciated.)
Is ACTS only for Catholics?
Non-Catholics who are exploring the Catholic faith are welcome to make the ACTS retreat.
Do I need to be a parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish to make the ACTS retreat?
Preference will be given to parishioners, but if there are openings in the final weeks prior to the retreat, others will be welcomed to register.

Are meals included in the cost of the retreat?
Yes, the main meals of the day are included in the retreat along with several snacks options available throughout the day .
